Blue Note

"I went to Blue Note with four friends to see a jazz band, and the performance was incredible — a true New York jazz experience. I had booked bar seats because I knew they were the more affordable option. My friends entered a bit earlier, and the waiter seated them at a table, saying it was better than the bar. When I arrived, we were told we could keep the table for an extra $20 per person, plus a $25 minimum. The view was great, but the extra charge felt unexpected. The drinks were excellent, and the music was outstanding. The only downside was that the room was quite cold — we kept our jackets on during the show. Overall, a memorable night with fantastic music, but a few details could be improved."

"Blue Note has long ago secured it's place in Jazz history internationally, and continues to showcase the best of the best. There is a $20 minimum at the bar, which is limited and also all the way to the side, so don't expect to get good views. The sound system is excellent, though, and the food good. If you love the artist you're going to see, spring for a table, get your tickets early, and get there early, as all seating is first-come first-served!"

"If you want to enjoy a good jazz show definitely purchase the tickets for the tables but try to get there early like 1 hour before the show so you can eat and get the best seats for the show. It gets crowded but all the servers move fast. The tables are shared, so keep it in mind. The drinks were really good! The food was just ok. The live music was awesome. And by the end of the show everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves."

"The music was absolutely fantastic — truly top quality. If I were rating only the performance, it would easily be 5 stars. The musicians were incredible, and that’s honestly the only reason I’m giving 3 stars instead of less. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t match the level of the music. After paying $77 per ticket, we were seated extremely close to strangers — it was so crowded that it was hard to even breathe comfortably. There was barely any space to move. On top of that, there is a $20 per person minimum spend, which would be fine if the drinks were good — but the cocktails were very disappointing. The margaritas were honestly some of the worst we’ve had. I understand this is a popular venue and tickets will always sell, but a little more consideration for guests would make a big difference. Selling slightly fewer tickets or adding extra show dates with the same bands could create a much more enjoyable atmosphere. Live music should feel special and comfortable, not overcrowded. Again, the music was amazing — I just wish the overall experience matched the talent on stage."

Yes the seating is very tight but when the music starts, you forget and appreciate being so close to your all time favorite artist ever !! 🥰"
